The theme was to bring a touch of Europe (Italy) with rolling hills and cypress trees in an exuberant hue of orange, yellow and green which is bringing back memories of home for many residents. The Italian courtyard image with a brick wall, green plants, small tables offers residents a beautiful sun filled sitting area which leads outside into the new gardens, a truly wonderful environment for our residents living with Dementia. This is the perfect way to assist them, with images that are immediately recognizable to create familiar and comforting care. Feedback from residents “ it's just like I remember home” many stories are now being shared.
