Casey Manor residents and staff have been volunteering their time to prepare meals for those who have fallen on hard times, may be homeless, or just struggling with the cost of living. Located in a community centre in Hampton Park, The Find A Penny Foundation operate between Monday and Friday where a team of volunteers come together to turn donated food into delicious meals, ready to be given to those in need.

Our residents have helped to prepare vegetables, re-packaged food into smaller containers, ready to be given to families, as well as putting labels on containers which will be filled with nutritious meals. Residents are also knitting hats, gloves and scarves, which are gratefully received. We will continue to volunteer every fortnight as our residents absolutely love giving back to the community, they feel a sense of purpose.

Beth a current student at Casey Manor sharing that her family had won a $500 supermarket voucher, felt very inspired to make a difference so they donated the cheque to Find A Penny, certainly an incredible, selfless thing to do.

Find a Penny founder Ibbi recently visited Casey Manor to talk with the residents and thank them for their support.
